A downloadable game
A friend said to me, "Let's fly! I'll show you a great fishing place. There, fish from the river jump into your hands all by themselves!"
Morning. Fog on the sea. Rocks sticking out of the water. What could have gone wrong?
Buddy was badly hurt, and I couldn't get him out. The helicopter had slipped down a steep slope into the water. Now I'm alone on the island with one box of matches in my pocket. And I have to wait for the rescue helicopter, but I'm afraid it's a long shot. Because our crashed helicopter was one of them.
A typical city dweller visits an old friend in a village on the coast to relax and fish. In the morning, they take a helicopter to the island and in the fog, they hit a rock sticking out of the water. The helicopter goes down. As a result of the accident, the main character's friend dies, and our character finds himself on a small island all alone. All he has with him is fishing gear and matches.
Key Features:
- All loot is collected by hand. Picked items are placed in pockets, in a backpack, in the hands. If the hands are busy, the character can not continue to collect, as well as to craft or disassemble items into parts. Placement of items in the future will affect their condition (may get wet, may get lost).
- Bonfire. You need a kindling to make a campfire. There are several options for kindling, and the source material affects its quality. A kindling made of raw twigs is hard to light, a kindling made of light twigs burns quickly. The fire spreads freely, the fire is not scripted, that is, the burning is simulated. For example, if you throw a damp stick too close to the fire, it will first dry out and then catch fire. The weight and size of the brushwood affects the burning time and amount of heat.
- The character does not have the classic health bar. There are states: thirst, hunger, injury, fatigue. The combination of these states determines the maximum number of days a character can live. For example, if you don't heal your wounds, the character will die after 24 hours. With constant thirst, you can live for three days. The more bad statuses, the less time is allotted to stay in the game world.
- In the alpha version of the game the helicopter arrives on the morning of the third day. The rescue helicopter is a real object, it follows a real route around the island. To give a sign, you have to make a fire and put brushwood, which gives a strong smoke. If the smoke from the helicopter is noticed, the game ends with the rescue of the poor guy. It is quite possible that the signal may not be noticed if the smoke from the fire is obscured by, say, a hillside or the helicopter is turned away from the source of the smoke. If there is no rescue, the next visit will take place in three days.
